There may be times where it is desirable to clean install the program for troubleshooting purposes or to start from scratch.  This can be done uninstalling the program, then reinstalling or by creating a new installation.

To uninstall the program and reinstall:

1.Backup ALL your tournaments to floppies or other removable media.  To backup, go to Tournament Maintenance > Backup Tournaments

2.Backup Styles, Reports & Font Sets from the Tournament Maintenance section if you have made any changes to the styles, reports and/or font sets..

3.Close the BTM-5 program

4.Open Control Panel from the Start menu in Windows.

5.Double click or select Add or Remove Programs.

6.Select BTM-5 and click Remove.

7.Reinstall the program from your original CD-ROM or download and install the current version of the program from the website.
Note:  If installing from CD, it is recommended that you download and install the latest update from the website.

8.Restore your backups from Tournament Maintenance > Restore Tournaments and Tournament Maintenance > Restore Styles, Reports & Font Sets
Note:  The uninstall process should not remove the tournaments folder.  Backing up and restoring tournaments is recommended as a precaution. However, report style and font set will likely be re-set to program defaults

To clean install be creating a new installation.

This procedure will disable a current installation of BTM-5 and install a clean installation of BTM-5 for use or testing.

1.Backup ALL your tournaments to floppies or other removable media. To backup, go to Tournament Maintenance > Backup Tournaments.

2.Rename your BTM-5 folder to BTM-5old using Windows Explorer.

3.Reinstall the program from your original CD-ROM or download and install the current version of the program from the website.
Note:  If installing from CD, it is recommended that you download and install the latest update from the website.

4.Restore your backups from Tournament Maintenance > Restore Tournaments
