Using Windows Desktop to move a league from a prior BLS to BLS-2021

To move a league from BLS-2020, BLS-2019, BLS-2018 or BLS-2017 to BLS-2021 using Windows Desktop, do the following:
 
  1. Close BLS, if you have BLS open.
  2. Open the version of BLS you were using prior to BLS-2021
  3. Open the league you wish to move to BLS-2021
  4. Back up the league by going to Utilities > Backup League. A "Save File" dialog will prompt where to save the backup file. Click "DESKTOP" in the left pane, in the Favorite Links.  (If you have a "Look in" drop down box at the top of the save window, you can locate DESKTOP there as well).
  5. Click Save.
  6. Close the program
  7. Open BLS-2021
  8. Click Maintenance > Restore League
  9. An "Open File" dialog will appear. Click "DESKTOP" in the left pane, in the Favorite Links.  (If you have a "Look in" drop down box at the top of the save window, you can locate DESKTOP there as well).
  10. Single-Click on the backup file you made in step 4 and 5.
  11. Click OPEN
  12. A "Save" dialog will appear asking where to extract the league backup files.  Do NOT change anything and click SELECT (or SAVE).
  13. The league will be restored into BLS-2021
  14. Click FILE > OPEN ANY LEAGUE.  The league will now be in the list of leagues.
