How do I remove a lane for league play (lane 23-24)? We have 38 teams in a 40-lane house.  This pair of lanes has literally no seating for the bowlers, it is right behind the desk/control counter

The Lane Assignment tasks are mentioned in the BLS-2026 manual, chapter 14, beginning on page 67. The manual may be found in the Help menu, and opens in Acrobat Reader.

This particular question has an answer on page 74. It's a very easy thing to do.

In the Lane Assignments screen (Menu: Setup > League > Lane Assignments), the grid of teams and lanes appears. The top row is the array of lane numbers, listed left to right, dark blue, with the number in amber.

You want to skip 23-24? Click on the 23 (or 24). A pop-up window displays; in there, you will be prompted to change 23-24 to some other number. In the left box, enter 25 to replace the 23, and 26 will replace 24. Below that is one other option: Whether to change this for "This week only" (default), or I would guess that you seek the other option, "This week AND future weeks". Select that, click "OK", and BLS will move every lane one pair to the right, for the balance of the season. The array of lane numbers to the right all change together.
