I use a MacBook Pro to run BLS-2014 and have done it that way using VMWare Fusion (which is a purchased product that requires an additional purchase of a licensed Windows, in my case, Windows 7) since 2010 (that was my previous Mac). On an '07 Mac, I simply used the available Boot Camp and Vista. Either way can work, it does involve the additional expense of licensed Windows no matter what. Message me privately if you would like further assistance on this.
In a nutshell, Fusion (or Parallels, a competitor) emulates a Windows desktop on a Mac and they do it pretty well. I do have a late 2013 MBP so the power is definitely beneficial there. Boot Camp requires you to only run one operating system or the other (MacOS or Windows) at startup.
For what it's worth, I only use Fusion and Windows when I need to (for BTM, T-Brac, and BLS, and very occasionally, Minesweeper). I could go on a longer post about this, but I think I've said enough.
