league name
Question asked by Joseph G. Kovacs - May 3, 2014 at 6:59 PM
Answered
I''m using BLS-2014 ver 26.05.05, Win 7.  When BLS is open, I click on "change league".  Where does the name come from?  When I do this, the league names are all the same- "Senior Friendship".  When I set up the league for next season, I add the year to league name, but it still comes up the same.  How do I tell one year from another?

For each league, in league rules, the first item "Who We Are" "Description or Name" should be where you are doing that, instead of the second item "To display a different title".

Now, do you have your copy of BLS as being owned by the league and not by you as an individual? The reason I ask that is that may be overriding things (I personally own my copies) but with a software copy owned by a league, the league name is "fixed" by BLS and can only be changed by modifying the license. I don't know if that specifically will cause what you are encountering to happen as I have never worked with a league-owned copy, but it is still a thought on my part.

Thanks Frank.  Your advice worked.  And yes, it is a league-owned copy.
