League Is Missing Weeks in the New Program

Every year, a few customers run into this situation: they install the new BLS-2027, but keep using their old program for a few more weeks before switching over. When they finally move to BLS-2027 full time, they find weeks or teams missing.

Here is why this happens. When you first install BLS-2027, it takes a snapshot of your leagues at that exact moment and copies that information into the new program. If you go back to your old program and make changes after that, those changes stay in the old program only. BLS-2027 does not know about them, because it is now working from its own separate copy of the data.

How to Fix It

If this happens to you, follow these steps:

  1. In BLS-2027, back up the affected league and set that backup aside.
  2. Make sure the league is closed.
  3. In BLS-2027, go to Maintenance, then Delete League, and delete the outdated league.
  4. Go to Maintenance, then Copy, then Copy League Wizard, and copy the league fresh from your old program into BLS-2027.

How to Avoid This

Once you install BLS-2027, we strongly recommend using it right away for all your league work. This keeps your data in one place and avoids this issue altogether.
