Automatic Scoring Setup

When you first install the Automatic Scoring edition, you must make the front desk computer visible to the program and establish the import and export directories.

Initial Setup

  1. Open BTM 2026
  2. Click Options > Automatic Scoring Setup
  3. Click Scoring
  4. Unlock the screen by clicking the LOCK icon on the toolbar and entering the password: CDESOFTWARE
    This password prevents accidental changes to settings.

Network Requirements

Each scoring manufacturer has different requirements, but BTM must point to either the Front Desk computer or the scoring system server.
If BLS is installed on a computer other than the one running BTM, that computer must be visible across the network. Consult your scoring system manufacturer or a network specialist for help configuring your network.

Configuring Paths

Once the screen is unlocked, configure the following three paths:
  1. Export Directory — Enter the path or click Browse to select the location where BLS exports files and where the scoring system expects to find them. This must match the location configured in your scoring system.
  2. Import Directory — Enter the path or click Browse to select the location where BLS imports files and where the scoring system places scores. This must match the location configured in your scoring system.
  3. Front Desk / Server Location — Enter the path or click the Browse icon next to Location of Front Desk or Server, depending on your scoring system.
  4. Click OK.
