Moving a league from one secretary to another

Moving a league from one secretary to another is simple, but you’ll want to take care of the data so nothing gets lost or mixed up.

Important Note
Both the old and new league secretaries should be using the same major version of the program, or no more than three versions apart. If the new secretary has an older version, they’ll need to upgrade so everything works together.

For the Previous League Secretary

1. Make a backup of the league:
   Open the program, go to UTILITIES > BACKUP LEAGUE, and save the backup file to a USB flash drive.

2. Send the backup:
   You can email the backup file to the new secretary as an attachment, or give them the USB flash drive.

For the New League Secretary

1. Back up your own league data (if you already have the league on your computer) by going to UTILITIES > BACKUP LEAGUE. This keeps your current work safe.

2. Delete the old copy of the league (if it’s already on your system) by going to UTILITIES > DELETE LEAGUE. This makes room for the new data.

3. Restore the new league by going to UTILITIES > RESTORE LEAGUE and choosing the backup you received.

Why Delete First?
Think of it like clearing the table before putting out a fresh meal. If you don’t, you might mix old leftovers with today’s food — and that could make a mess. Deleting the old league first gives you a clean space for the new one.
