How to Move the Master Bowler Database (MBD) to a New Computer

If you're switching to a new computer, you'll want to move your MBD data too. Here's how to do it in simple steps:

On the old computer:

1. Open the Master Bowler Database Manager.

2. Click on Database Operations.

3. Choose Backup Database.

4. Save the backup file to a USB drive or another safe spot (not just on the computer).

Now move to the new computer:

1. Install the Master Bowler Database (MBD). This usually happens when you install or update BLS.

2. Activate the MBD from inside BLS if it asks.

3. Open the MBD Manager and create a new blank database (this step gets the program ready to load your backup).

4. Click Database Operations again and choose Restore Database.

5. Find the backup file you saved and restore it.

That’s it! Now your MBD data should be all set on your new computer.
