How to Split Lane Assignments to Use Two Different Sets of Lanes at the Same Time in BLS-2025

If you need to split lane assignments so that a league uses two different sets of lanes at the same time (e.g., lanes 5-8 and 15-18), follow these steps:

Steps to Change Lane Assignments

  1. Open the League in BLS-2025.
  2. Go to Setup > League > Lane Assignments.
  3. Click on the Show menu and check the box next to Schedule.
    • This will display the lane numbers in the dark blue area above the team pairings.
  4. Change the Lane Number:
    • Click on the odd lane number you wish to change.
    • A Change Lanes window will open.
    • In the white text box, type the new odd-numbered lane (the even lane will automatically adjust).
    • For example, if you have 8 teams starting on lane 5, and the program shows lanes 5-14, but you want to split them between 5-8 and 15-18:
      • Click on the lane number 9 at the top of the grid.
      • Change lane 9 to 15. The corresponding even lane will adjust accordingly.
  5. Apply the Change for the Season:
    • Check the box labeled "For the rest of the season" to apply this change to every week, not just for the current week.
  6. The rest of the lanes will be adjusted in numerical order.
    • Note: The lanes must be sequential (increasing order) when making this type of change.
By following these steps, you can split your lane assignments effectively and ensure that the teams bowl on the desired sets of lanes simultaneously. This setup is particularly useful for managing a league in centers with non-contiguous available lanes.
