How to Handle Awards Detection During a Fun Night in BLS-2025

BLS-2025 will detect Local and National awards for every week scores are entered, regardless of whether the week is configured as a Fun Night in the schedule. This means awards are detected even if the week type is non-standard, such as no-tap, which wouldn't typically qualify for awards.
If the final week is configured as a Fun Night and the games are not bowled in the standard format, and therefore are not eligible for awards, follow these steps to prevent awards from being granted:

Steps to Mark Scores as Not Eligible for Awards

  1. Open Score Entry:
    • Open your league in BLS-2025.
    • Go to Weekly > Process > Score Entry.
  2. Use Overrides for Award Scores:
    • For each team that has players with award scores, select Overrides.
    • Highlight the bowler who has an award score.
    • Check the options for "NOT eligible for association awards" and "NOT eligible for league awards".
  3. Repeat for All Players with Award Scores:
    • Repeat this process for all bowlers with award scores that should not be eligible.
Important Note:
  • Do Not use the Assoc. & Local Awards Earned This Week menu option, as this could incorrectly process awards.
  • If you need to print a final List Awards Earned report after the final night of bowling, ensure the scores have been overridden to mark them as ineligible.
By following these steps, you can ensure that awards are not mistakenly granted during a Fun Night or when using a non-standard game format, such as no-tap.
