How to Handle Awards Detection During a Fun Night in BLS-2025

In BLS-2025, the software is designed to detect Local and National awards for every week in which scores are entered, regardless of the week type, such as Fun Night. This means that awards will still be detected even if the week is set as a Fun Week. Here's what to do if awards should not be granted during a Fun Night or non-standard format games:

Steps to Make Games Ineligible for Awards

  1. Open Score Entry:
    • Go to the Main Menu > Weekly > Process > Score Entry.
  2. Use Overrides for Players with Award Scores:
    • For each team with players who have scored an award, click Overrides.
    • Highlight the bowler who has the award score.
    • Check the boxes for "NOT eligible for association awards" and "NOT eligible for league awards".
  3. Repeat for All Players with Award Scores:
    • Repeat this process for all bowlers who have award scores that should not be eligible.
Important Note:
  • Do Not use the Assoc. & Local Awards Earned This Week menu option for this purpose.
  • If you plan to print a final List Awards Earned report after the final night of bowling, make sure to override the scores beforehand to ensure they are marked as not eligible for awards.
This method ensures that awards are not granted when the games are bowled under a different format (such as no-tap on a Fun Night) that does not qualify for standard league awards.
