How to Handle a Bowler Bowling on Two Teams in a Single Evening in BLS-2025

If a bowler bowls part of a series for one team and finishes on another, BLS-2025 does not directly support entering scores for a bowler on two different teams during the same session. Here’s a workaround to manage this situation:
  1. Add a Dummy Bowler:
    • Add a new dummy bowler to one of the two teams. You can name the bowler "DUMMY".
  2. Open Score Overrides:
    • Go to Weekly > Process > Score Entry and select Overrides.
  3. Change Dummy Bowler's Average:
    • Set the dummy bowler’s average to match the bowler who is playing on both teams. This ensures the handicap is calculated properly.
  4. Enter Scores for Dummy Bowler:
    • Input only the scores bowled on the first team for the dummy bowler.
  5. Assign the Real Bowler to the Second Team:
    • Place the real bowler on the second team.
    • For games not bowled on that team, type the letter X in the score field followed by the score from the first team. This X entry will add the score to the bowler's average without affecting the team's totals.
  6. Enter Scores Normally for Games Bowled on the Second Team:
    • Enter any scores bowled directly for the second team as regular scores.
This workaround will correctly track the bowler's scores for both teams while ensuring that team totals are handled appropriately without any incorrect additions.
