Recaps Skipping Lines or Missing Bowlers

If bowlers are missing or gaps appear randomly in your recap sheets, it's likely because the rules are set to return the lineup to Default Rosters when advancing to the next week, and the default roster wasn't updated after making changes.

Understanding Default Rosters:

Default Rosters allow a specific lineup to be saved and used each week when advancing to the next week.
For example:
  • If your default roster is set as John, Mary, Frank, Kerry, then each week the program will use this lineup unless you make changes.
  • If in week 3 you change the order to Kerry, Mary, Frank, John for just that week, but don’t click Save Default Roster, the original order (John, Mary, Frank, Kerry) will be used again when advancing to week 4.
  • If in week 5 Mary leaves the team and Jane replaces her, you need to update the default roster to John, Jane, Frank, Kerry by saving the changes. If you don’t save the new default roster, the old one with Mary will still be loaded for week 6, causing problems like Mary being missing from the recaps.

Resolution:

  1. Update Each Team's Default Roster:
    • Go to Team Rosters for each team.
    • Ensure the lineup is correct.
    • Click Save Default Roster after making any changes.

Avoiding Issues After Restarting a League:

This issue can also occur after restarting a league and making changes to the teams and rosters without saving each team's default roster. If you use the Default Rosters feature, it's essential to save the default rosters for each team after making changes.
By following these steps, you can avoid missing bowlers and random gaps in your recap sheets.
