Moving a league from a previous secretary to a new one is easy, but it’s important to handle the data carefully.

Key Points:

  1. The previous and new league secretaries must be using the same major version of the software or no more than 3 major versions apart. If the new secretary has an older version, they must upgrade to be compatible.

Steps for the Previous League Secretary:

  1. Backup the league:
    • Go to UTILITIES > BACKUP LEAGUE and save the backup on a USB flash drive.
  2. Send the backup:
    • If sending by email, attach the backup file to an email and send it to the new secretary. Otherwise, hand over the USB flash drive with the backup.

Steps for the New League Secretary:

  1. Backup the league (if it’s already on your BLS) by going to UTILITIES > BACKUP LEAGUE. This is a precaution to protect any current data.
  2. Delete the league (if it’s already on your BLS) to avoid mixing data by going to UTILITIES > DELETE LEAGUE.
  3. Restore the league from the backup provided by the previous secretary by going to UTILITIES > RESTORE LEAGUE.
