How to convert a Perfect Secretary league to BLS-2025?

Welcome to CDE Software! We're happy to have previous Perfect Secretary users join us. We understand it's a big change, especially this late in the season, and learning new software can feel a bit overwhelming.
To make things easier, you can import your team names and bowlers into our program, saving you the hassle of typing in all the names and addresses. Just note that rules and averages won't be imported. The basic functions are similar, but you may need a little time to get used to where things are.
Here’s a quick guide to help you get started:
  1. Open the Program: Click on "File," then select "Create from Perfect Secretary League."
  2. Name Your League: A window will pop up asking for a league file name. You can use the default name or enter your own. Click "Okay."
  3. Conversion Wizard: A wizard will guide you through converting your PS League to BLS. Follow the instructions and click "Next."
  4. Find Your PS League Files: Click "Browse," go to the local C drive, find the PSD folder, and click "Select." Then click "Next."
  5. Select Your League: A list of league folders (e.g., League01) will appear. Choose the correct one and click "Create League."
  6. Set Up Rules: A message will ask if you want to use the rules wizard. It's recommended to use it. After the wizard finishes, the General Rules section will open. Check that everything is correct and make any changes you need. Click "Done" when you're ready.
  7. Lane Assignments: The lane assignment screen will open next. Remove any dates your league isn't bowling, and use the dropdown to mark position rounds. Once finished, click "Main Menu."
  8. Check Teams and Bowlers: To verify the teams and bowlers, click "Setup," then "Teams," then "Rosters." All the teams and bowlers should be there. You can use the dropdown to view averages, high scores, and other information like addresses and phone numbers.

  • Everything related to setting up a league is under the Setup Menu.
  • Weekly tasks like entering scores can be found in the Weekly Menu.
