Using Yahoo Small Business to send emails

To configure your BLS software to send outgoing emails using Yahoo Business Mail, follow these steps:
  1. Open BLS:
    • Go to File > Program Preferences > Internet.
  2. Change Email Settings:
    • Click on Change Internet Upload and E-Mail Settings.
    • Enter your full Yahoo Business email address in the Username field.
    • Enter your Yahoo app password in the Password field. (Refer to Yahoo's knowledgebase on how to generate an app password for third-party applications.)
    • Set the SMTP Server to smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com.
    • Check the box for Use Advanced Settings to set SMTP Server Port.
    • Set the SMTP Server Port to 465.
    • Ensure Email Server requires SSL and/or TLS Mode is set to Yes.
    • Set SSL/TLS Start Mode to Automatic.
  3. Enable Access for Less Secure Apps:
    • Make sure that your Yahoo Business account security settings allow apps that use less secure sign-in methods. If this option is disabled, you may encounter issues with sending emails from the BLS software.
  4. Complete Setup:
    • Save the settings and close the email configuration window. Your BLS software should now be configured to send emails through Yahoo Business Mail using the specified settings.
This setup will ensure that your emails sent through BLS are properly routed using the Yahoo Business Mail server.
