Using Yahoo for Email sending

  1. Log In: Go to the Yahoo, AOL, or AT&T website and log in to your account.
  2. Access Account Security:
    • Find and select the Account Security option in your account settings.
  3. Generate App Password:
    • Click on Generate app password.
    • Choose Other App from the list.
    • Enter BLS-2024 as the name for the app password.
    • Click Generate.
  4. Use the App Password:
    • Note down the app password that is generated.
    • Enter this app password in place of your regular password in the BLS email settings.
  5. Enter First Name, Last Name and Email Address into the Your Identity section in BLS
  6. Make sure Login using User Name and Password is checked.
  7. Make suer User Name is your Yahoo email address
  8. Make sure Use Advanced Settings to set SMTP Server Port is checked
  9. Make sure SMTP Server Port is set to 587
  10. Make sure SMTP Server requires SSL and/or TLS Mode is checked
  11. Make sure that SMTP SSL/TLS Start Mode is set to Automatic.
This process creates a unique password for the email application, bypassing the default restrictions. Keep in mind that Yahoo, AOL, or AT&T might update their security measures, so check for any changes if you encounter issues.
