Using Gmail for Email Sending

  1. To configure your BLS software to send outgoing emails using the new Google Email System with Gmail, follow these steps:
    1. Open BLS:
      • Go to File > Program Preferences > Internet.
    2. Change Email Settings:
      • Click on Change Internet Upload and E-Mail Settings.
      • Enter your First Name and Last Name in the respective fields.
      • Set your Email address to your Gmail email address.
    3. Configure Gmail:
      • Change the Special Mail Server option to Gmail.
      • Enter your Gmail email address in the Gmail Address field.
    4. Sign In with Google:
      • Click Sign in with Google.
      • A browser window will open, prompting you to log into your Google account.
      • Follow the prompts to grant permission for the program to access your Google account (this access is limited to sending emails only).
    5. Complete Setup:
      • Close the email settings window. Your BLS software will now send emails through the new Google server system.
    6. Revoke Access (if needed):
      • If you wish to revoke BLS-2025's access to your Google account, simply change the Special Mail Server back to Normal.
  2. This process ensures that your emails sent through BLS will be properly routed using Gmail’s updated server settings.
