Using Comcast for Email Sending

To configure your BLS email settings for sending outgoing mail using Comcast, follow these instructions:

Email Settings for Comcast:

  • SMTP Server: smtp.comcast.net
  • Username: Your Comcast username
  • Password: Your Comcast email password
  • Use Advanced Settings to set SMTP Server Port: Yes
  • SMTP Server Port: 587
  • Email Server requires SSL and/or TLS Mode: Yes
  • SSL/TLS Start Mode: Automatic

Additional Security Step:

Recently, Comcast updated their security settings, which require users to enable permissions for third-party programs like BLS to send outgoing emails. Please follow the instructions on the Comcast support page to enable third-party email access.
Make sure these settings are correctly entered in your BLS program and that you've completed the necessary steps to allow third-party access through Comcast's security settings.
