How to Adjust the Phone Number Format Display

If your phone numbers aren't displaying correctly in BLS, you can modify the settings to ensure they appear in the correct format. Here's how:

1. Go to Program Preferences:

   • Navigate to File > Program Preferences

2. Access Date, Time, Phone Settings:

   • Click on the Date, Time, Phone tab.

3. Select or Create a Phone Number Format:

   • Under Local Telephone Format, choose a format that suits your needs.
   • If none of the existing formats work for you, you can design your own. Use the number 9 to indicate where a digit should go. For any non-numeric characters, such as parentheses or hyphens, place a backslash (\) in front of them.
   • Note: Do not enter an actual phone number on this screen—just the format mask.
