How to Handle a Bowler Switching Hands During the Season

If a bowler switches hands during the regular season, you'll need to create a new entry for that bowler with the hand they are currently using. Here's how to do it:
  1. Create a New Bowler:
    • Go to Setup > Bowlers > Edit Bowler Not on a Team.
    • Click the letter of the bowler’s last name.
    • Click Enter a New Name….
    • Type the bowler’s name, adding –L or –R at the end of the last name to designate the hand they are using (e.g., "Smith–L").
    • Enter the rest of the personal information. The program will automatically assign a new bowler ID#.
  2. Edit the Original Bowler's Name:
    • Update the original bowler’s last name to include the correct hand designation (e.g., "Smith–R" for right hand).
  3. Update the Team Roster:
    • Add the new bowler (with the updated hand designation) to the roster position on the team.
    • Move the original bowler to the sub list.
  4. Enter Scores:
    • Enter scores for each week the bowler is using the new hand under this new bowler entry.
  5. Switching Back:
    • If the bowler returns to their previous hand, simply move the old bowler back onto the team and place the new entry into the sub list.
This process helps keep records accurate and ensures that the bowler's performance is tracked correctly regardless of which hand they are using.
