Handling Awards for Substitute Bowlers Who Become Permanent Team Members

In some cases, a substitute bowler may become a regular team member. When this happens, BLS doesn't differentiate between scores bowled as a substitute and those bowled as a permanent member. This could result in games bowled as a substitute appearing on the Standing Sheet for league awards, or the bowler being listed for an award they aren't eligible for due to insufficient games as a regular member.
To prevent a substitute's scores from counting towards awards, you'll need to override the qualifying score. Here's how:
  1. Go to the Correct Week:
    • Navigate to the week in which the qualifying score was bowled.
  2. Enter or Correct Scores:
    • Go to the menu bar and select Weekly > Enter / Correct Current Scores.
  3. Find the Team:
    • Navigate to the team with the bowler whose scores you need to adjust.
  4. Override Award Eligibility:
    • On the menu bar, select Scores > Overrides.
    • In the Override screen, select the bowler and check the option indicating that the scores are NOT eligible for league awards.
By following these steps, you can ensure that substitute scores are not counted towards awards, even after the bowler becomes a regular team member.
