Printing Awards forms results in font error or opens a blank document in Adobe

When attempting to print filled in award forms (USBC, CTF and/or TNBA), the following error may occur:

Set Font: Font not found.

OpenImportFileA: Buffer length is shorter than expected.

Alternatively, the document that is opened in the Adobe Reader program may be blank. This issue has been narrowed down to something with the affected computer's Windows environment relating to Fonts.

A) The following steps should resolve this issue (For Windows Vista, skip to Option B):

1.Exit BTM-2013.

2.Go to Control Panel > Fonts. You may have to go to the "Appearance" section of control panel for this option.

3.Locate and open the ARIAL (True Type) font (just the plain one, not the bold, italic or Arial Narrow).

4.Click 'Done' to close the screen and close Control Panel

5.Open BTM-2013 and try to print the Award Forms again.

B) If this does not resolve the issue, try the following:

1.Download and install the most current version of BTM-2013.

2.Open My Computer (Identified as just Computer in Windows Vista)

3.Navigate to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\CDE Software Shared\Support Files folder and delete the dynapdf.dll file.

4.Go to Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs and select BTM-2013 and click Change or Change/Remove.

5.This should bring up the BTM-2013 Program Installer in Maintenance mode.

6.Click Next.

7.Select Repair.

8.Click Next and complete the Repair process

C) Finally, if the problem persists, the following steps should resolve the issue:

1.Exit BTM-2013.

2.Open My Computer (Identified as just Computer in Windows Vista)

3.Navigate to the 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\CDE Software Shared\installed_fonts' folder.

5.Extract the fonts from the cdefonts.zip to another location or in the same folder.
Note: If you computer does not have a program available to open ZIP files, you will need to install a utility that does extract these files. We suggest going to http://www.7-zip.org for a free download.

6.Open Control Panel from the Start menu in Windows and select Fonts. You may have to go to the "Appearance" section of control panel for this option.

7.Locate all of the CDE-4 fonts and delete them.

8.From the menu bar, select File, then Install New Font

9.Under Folders, navigate to the folder where the fonts were extracted and select the fonts deleted in Step 4, then click OK.
