Dropping Teams

Dropping Teams

To consolidate the partial teams In the event that a league cannot fill all the teams and has partial teams, to create full playing strength, follow the instructions below.

Dropping 2 Teams

1.     Once the scores are entered for the current week, print the standing sheet.

2.     Advance to the next week of play.

3.     Go to Weekly > Adjust Team Rosters.  Remove the players that are moving to another team or leaving the league, by dropping them from the team using the drop button and putting them on the sub list.

4.     Go to Utilities > Teams > Re-order. Exchange the last 2 teams’ staying positions with the 2 teams to be dropped. By doing this, only two teams will have to change team numbers.

Example:  10 Team league, dropping Team #5 and Team #7.  Move Team #9 to Team #5 position, moving # 5 to # 9 position, Move Team #10 to Team #7 position, moving #7 to the #10 position,

5.     Once that is done, go to Utilities > Teams > Remove teams.  Select the two teams to delete then click "Delete" If you selected a team in error, select the team again and click "Restore". Teams you have selected to delete will appear in RED. Once you have selected all of the teams you wish to delete, click the green check mark. Follow the prompts on the screen to re-order the remaining teams and complete the process. The program will adjust the lane schedule for the new number of teams and prompt you to verify the lane assignments.

6.     Verify that the teams are correct and in the right order.

7.     Go back to Adjust Team Rosters and put the players on the teams they are moving to, by using the add button or their ID#.  If players are quitting the league, go into the Bowler maintenance and change their status to quit league or delete this name from league file.

8.     Go to Utilities > Delete future weeks. This will remove all weeks and scores past this week to insure that the old team is no longer in the league for the future weeks.

9.     Print recaps.  For A/S, export to the Front Desk. If other changes need to be made when the processor learns of them, they can be made in this week.

10.   After they bowl, process the league as normal.

Note – In the re-order screen, if only 1 team changes position than only 2 teams should be in a different color.  If 2 teams change position, 4 teams should be in a different color.

Dropping 1 Team

Repeat the first 3 steps above.

1.   Go to Utilities > Add Teams.  Click on add 1 team and a bye team.

2.   Go back to Utilities > Teams > Re-order teams.  Exchange the Bye Team with the position of the team that is to be dropped, and move that team to the position the Bye team was in. Doing this all the other teams keep their original team numbers.

3.   Back to the Utilities > Teams > Remove teams.  Select the last 2 teams (the team that is dropping and the new team) and click on Delete.

4.   Verify the teams are in the correct order.

5.   Print recaps.  For A/S, export to the Front Desk. If other changes need to be made when the processor learns of them, they can be made in this week.

6.   Process the league as normal.

Note – this method is used when all stats for the bye team are to be set back to ‘0’ (recommended).

Method 2

Drop all players off of the team, leaving an empty roster and change the team name to BYE.  However, this method will leave all the previous wins and losses, etc. that the original team had received.

Go to Utilities > Delete future weeks. This will remove all weeks and scores past this week to insure that the old team is no longer in the league for the future weeks.
