Using Outlook.com for Email Sending

As of September 2024, BLS-2022 is no longer compatible with Microsoft email services. Please upgrade your BLS.

Per Microsoft's knowledgebase at https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Add-your-Outlook-com-account-to-another-mail-app-73f3b178-0009-41ae-aab1-87b80fa94970 the settings in CDE's program to send email is:

Email Address (under your identity): <Outlook.com email address>

SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com

Username: <Outlook.com email address>

Password: <Outlook.com user password>

Use Advanced Settings to set SMTP Server Port: Yes

SMTP Server Port: 587

Email Server requires SSL and/or TLS Mode: Yes

SSL/TLS Start Mode: Explicit

Note: You may need to check with changes with Outlook.com in terms of setting changes. Also, if using 2 factor authentication, it may not allow BLS to send outgoing emails.
