Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

When installing or updating program, an error pops up with message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.".

 

Most likely, your Antivirus program, such as AVG, is causing a problem during installation preventing the installer from installing the software.  Please temporarily disable your antivirus software following the direction provided by your Antivirus software. Then try installing the CDE Software product.  After installation, the Antivirus software can be enabled.
