Unrecognized app browser warning

When trying to download and install BLS-2024, a "Windows protected your PC" window appeared with a warning of "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk".

Occasionally Microsoft will look at downloads and will display this warning until enough people download the installer. This is outside of the control of CDE Software.

CDE Software follows the proper security protocols of obtaining a valid EV Digital Signing Certificate and signs its applications and installers to indicate that the installer and EXE have been directly built by CDE Software and have not been tampered with.

If you receive message, do the following:

1. Click More Info

2. This should expand the screen to display something like the following, which displays the publisher of CDE Software, LLC.

3. Click Run Anyway.

4. The installer should then continue and install the software.
