Win-Loss Totals from "Bowling for Averages Only" Weeks Included in Overall Totals

Not A Problem
BLS 2017/Pro, Version 29.03.09, Windows 10
This is the second year I am running optional singles leagues and I remember it worked itself out a year ago under 2016.  We start with the fourth week using current league averages so I put the first three weeks for averages only.
Everything was going along like last year for the first three weeks: Week 1 had no points, Week 2 had eight points total, and Week 3 showed 16 (eight point system).  So Week 4 is for real and everyone has 32 points total.
I've gone back to Week 1 and confirmed that the first three weeks are for averages only.
The obvious workaround is to set up a split season: three weeks for the first split, and the remaining 30 weeks on the second split.
Any thoughts?  Again, this was not an issue with 2016.

I'm at a loss. I trust that when you set the Type of Week in Lane Assignments to "Bowling for Averages Only", the column for "Points Awarded" should display "Zero Points" in red.
I have a league of unknown teams and am also bowling for averages for three weeks just to sort out how many bowlers we'll eventually have and decide how to organize...and while I don't include team standings in what's printed/uploaded, I'm finding that the team points are 0-0, as expected.

OK, I restored one of the two leagues and it did say normal points.  I can't specifically remember if that was the default a year ago with 2016/Pro but I also don't specifically remember having to explicitly set those.
I think Frank is on the right track. Double check that the points awarded are set to zero points.
