Triplicate Award not Recognized
Problem reported by Lynda Daniels - October 4, 2015 at 3:37 PM
Not A Problem
My bowler bowled a triplicate yet the local awards did not acknowledge it. I even tried to use undetected award, but that did not help.
Please help.

As we commonly ask, please specify your version of BLS-2016 as occasionally an issue may exist with a previous version that may be addressed by a later release. The format is 28.0#.##.
You mention that your award isn't recognized, but we need to know how you have things set up. To make this a short response, I will presume that you have the local award set up correctly, so let's look at your rules as set up in BLS.
Under the "Setup" menu, choose "Rules". In the window that opens, there are several tabs along the left side of the screen. The last one reads "Special Options". Click that.
Scroll all the way down that window to see an area labeled "Special Award Groups". Several switches appear. In order for your local awards to be recognized, you will have to set the appropriate switch to "Yes". That may be labeled "Local Awards", but that can be changed to show the association's name. It will read whatever it's labeled in the awards setup screen.
Check that switch and see if the triplicate shows up. It shouldn't have to be done as a non-detectable award. If it still doesn't work, let us know and someone will look at how you have the award set up.

Always check, download, and install the most recent update of your software to ensure that issues may have been corrected.
I am also having trouble setting up this award.  It does show up in my Local Awards, but when I look at the list of awards, it is bringing up every score for every bowler.  It does not filter it down to the 3 scores for the triplicate score for one bowler.
I have version 28.05.04
What are you settings for the award? Give us EVERY setting as you may have missed something.
I'm not able to replicate.
Using 28.05.04:
  1. I created a local award called "Triplicate"
  2. Set association to USBC
  3. Type to Triplicate
  4. Frequency once per Season
  5. Award applies to Men and Women
  6. Age: 0 to 0
  7. Score must be at least 0
  8. Must bowl 0 games
  9. Average equal to 0 no greater than 300
  10. Step Ladders to 0
  11. I then went to rules and enabled "Local Awards" for a test league.
  12. I entered scores for John Doe of 222 222 222
  13. I checked the awards earned and John Doe is being tagged for the award created.
