I had been working with this customer via Facebook and admittedly was confused with her understanding of the term "Brackets". It's better known as divisions for her instance.
What she would like to be able to do is to have BLS be able to put bowlers into divisions based on current averages, in divisions that contain four bowlers each (no more, no less). Now that she knows what the divisions term means, she can create the divisions, but as of now would have to manually assign them.
Divisions can be set to be based on current average in BLS, but the average ranges have to be themselves set manually. She wants to have four in each division based on average, not have to manually change the average parameters each week in order to get BLS to be able to do this automatically.
The "adjust team rosters" screen can be set to display a list of all bowlers, but there is no option to sort that list by current average (True Average), which would be ideal as she could go down the list and assign divisions manually quite easily that way. I spent some time looking around to see if there was an easy solution...there is not, at least as far as I could tell. She'd have to take a printed copy of the standings with an average list of bowlers and then determine divisions based on that before manually assigning. So the ability to sort by true average would be helpful here.
So...one solution would be able to sort bowlers by current (true) average in the list of league bowlers (the true average can be displayed, it just isn't a sort option, as they can be sorted by team/lane number, first/last name, but not much more. One could then manually assign divisions fairly easily on that screen.
The other solution would be to be able to specify the number of bowlers per division, sorted by current average, thus making the entire procedure automatic.
She would, once bowlers are assigned to divisions for the current week, include "high series with handicap by division" in the standings sheet from which she could assign winnings for that and each particular week, which is her end goal.
I know it took me a lot to describe this, but I just wanted to make sure that what she's looking for is clear.
