In Setup > Rules, click on the tab in the column at the left titled "Special Recognition".

Scroll down to the area under the blue bar "Individual Special Recognition".

Look for "Rules for individual most improved average recognition:",
and look for "Use bowler's entering or Book Average instead of designated number of games:"
and set that switch to "NO".
The next item is "Use bowler's average at the following number of games:"
set that item to "21".

You will need to go back to before week 7 (before anyone reached the 21-game mark) and then advance back through to the end of the season or current week to get it to process correctly.

Above the above blue bar is a setting for "Number of games bowled to be eligible for any league recognition at that time:" You will have to set that according to your league rules; most specify 2/3 of the season. You will have to determine what the minimum number has to be (63 if a 96-game season, for example, if 2/3).

To see who won, add the item to your standings sheet. Note that if you run the report in Reports > Most Improved Average, that will include everyone alphabetically, but the standings will show the top improvers only.

If, in your rules, you have it set up as a mixed league, that should automatically happen. In Setup > Rules, going down to the "League Features" section (blue bar), "Type of bowlers" should be set to "Adult Mixed league - men and women only" (unless it's adult/junior).

Then, all of your bowlers need to be assigned the correct gender in bowler information. BLS will not attempt to determine sex based on any first name (Terry, Kelly, Sam, Chris, even Tracy and others). And if you leave it as "unknown", they will not necessarily be recognized. And if adult league, use Male, Female, as in an adult league, a Boy or a Girl will not be recognized.

When i run the most improved bowler report, it doesnt show me what the bowlers average was at "7" weeks and what it is at the end of the season. There is now way for me to show the increase?

Go to Reports > Customize Advanced Reports.

Select "Most Improved Averages". In the large open window click "Show Report Customization" to bring up options.

If you're only showing women, then either you have the customized setting "What Sexes?" to "Women" and you probably want "Only the sexes in the league" or "Everyone" (either should do it). Or, none of the men in the league qualify (none have bowled enough games per your rules).

(MIB = Most Improved Bowler) for the purposes of the rest of this reply.

BLS does not have the capability to display the MIB basis average. It could be based on book or entering average, either or both of which can be customized to be displayed (my leagues both use Book/Entering average for such prize). But the MIB report will, at least, show the total of pins of improvement (+/-).

I do not recall seeing a request for this functionality to be added to BLS in the several years I've used it (I could be incorrect) but it would need to be requested for insertion. There are many, many items that can be customized to show in a report in various formats as it is...this particular item (the average as of 21 games, or average as of a specified number of games) just into one of those options right now.
