How do you run REVERSE BRACKETS with Regular Brackets?
Question asked by Scott A. Gielda - June 9, 2015 at 6:15 PM
Answered
I don't see an option that will allow me to set up a bracket that will run Game 3, 2, 1 as an option as opposed to 1, 2, 3.
Is there an option for this or do I have to Manually open another tournament and enter the scores in reverse order?

T-Brac 2006 appears to be tagged here, which does not support reverse Brackets. BLS-2015 and BTM-2015, however, have this capability.

Is there a new planned STAND ALONE version of T-Bracs anytime soon?

Your BTM is still lacking in a lot of features, I 'd love to use it, but the USBC WINLabs tournament package still does all the things we need and the BTM still doesn't.  So running brackets with T-Brac is the only option.

Thanks

We are working hard on TBrac next gen.  We're currently doing work in the financials area.

In terms of BTM "lacking in a lot of features", please explain.  We have a lot of local, state and national tournaments using BTM. In fact, USBC has, for the last few years, recommended switching to BTM.

Scott,

  1. BTM-2015 does print Doubles / Singles with both events on a single page.
  2. BTM-2015 Pro and A/S editions do export to HTML or PDF
  3. I'll have to check with check printing.  I thought it supported combining checks.
  4. Correct, no 1099 printing at this time.  Part of the issue is storing SSN numbers and the accessing of that info.

Here's where my Accountant "Spidey-Sense" kicks in.

If you start filling 1099s, you *must* make sure to comply completely with all IRS standards.

This includes things like stripping the SSN down to the last four for printing (Security standards, ya know)

it would be much easier to refer people to another company that handles that cheaply and fairly, and do a report like the award report.

I do a search for "1099-Misc reporting online" on Google and get plenty of good results, however, my personal recommendation as an accountant is "http://www.wagefiling.com/"; - they're less than $4/each to efile your 1099's, fill them completely and correctly, and provide the correct form for printing.
