"MDB Duplicate Bowler Check" on Bowler with Only One MDB Entry

BLS-2017/Pro Version 29.05.01, running Windows 10
 
Upon opening and closing my league, I am getting a "MDB Duplicate Bowler Check" for a bowler who is listed in the MDB only once.
 
I haven't found anything in the program manual, nor anything here.

Bob, I know that there are actions that are available to you when you get this alert. Which option(s) have you tried, and what effect has there been?

Hey Frank ... after selecting "Link to Selected Bowler", I did notice one field in the Original BLS Data that was not in the Existing MDB Data so I copied that over then saved it; the error remains persistent.
 
I had also reverted to the Original MDB Bowler (at one point) and the error still persisted.
 
The only thing I have not done yet is import as a new bowler; not sure how that will affect the teams for which he has bowled (bowler is a floating sub).

You might be able to try doing that import; I would back up the league first and try it, then restore if necessary. That might create two bowlers with the same name in your league file, however. If he's only subbed a few times, theoretically you could go back the appropriate weeks with the imported bowler, assign him as a sub with the correct scores and drop the original sub, advance forward, and hopefully not get this message any more. I can't say how this much have occurred, however. If it's not too much extra work for you, of course. I haven't ever had to do something like this, so I cautiously say this with the appropriate "your mileage may vary".

I'm bringing this back up because, after backing up my leagues and MDB to import on a different laptop, the same error with the same league appeared.

Odd.   May need to email the league backup as well as the MBD backup so we can replicate.
