I have BLS 2017 Pro edition.  Is there a setting for the "Swiss" format for a league?

I have never seen the term used in league rules setup.

Is this indeed a league, or actually a tournament? (or, a tournament derived from league scores?) It would be helpful to describe the format, so that if possible, we could determine the best way to configure BLS-2017.

Yes, this would be a tournament our house is considering.  I was hoping to use BLS-2017 for it.  Our house only has 2 tournaments a year, so purchasing BTM-2015 would not be of a value to me.

It would be a separate tournament (we would not use league scores).

Having a PRO version of BLS-2017 will ease things; hopefully you have all leagues with bowlers eligible for this tournament on the same computer as they'll all be in the Master Bowler Database which will make importing of bowler names easier. Not knowing the format, I could come up with a number of ways to apply BLS based on several "Ifs" but because there are so many, I'd be writing a lot of unnecessary thoughts.

As an example, If this format involves bonus "pins" added to a bowler total pinfall for a match play victory, BLS will not support that (nor would BTM). So, I'll need to know the details of the Swiss format to see what BLS can do, or might be able to assist with partially.

Typical Swiss Tournaments that run here in the PNW are done as:

6-8 week league
1 game a week
3 people per team
3 pts for team game (hcp if a hcp tournament)
1 pt for ind match point game (hcp if hcp)
Set lane assignments to have position rounds for every week except week 1.
