Postion Rounds - Shifting 1 pair to right for each subsequent P/R

Where in the program do you enter information to have the league shift 1 pair to the right on position rounds, i.e. if the league starts on 1 & 2, the 1st postion round would have teams in position 1 & 2 bowling on that pair; however on each subsequent position round the league will shift 1 pair to the right and although I see an option in the program to do that it's only if the league repeats the schedule.  How do you make that change for P/R's only?

That's a manual setting. When you set a particular week as being a position round, the column immediately to the right "1st PR Lane" turns the same navy blue as the position round and it's a simple matter to change that number. They will all default to the first lane of your league, but you can easily change the second one to "3", the third to "5", and so on (odd numbers, naturally). BLS will not automatically set these for you, but this should be a one-time setting.

When you restart for the next season, there is an option to "Remove Position Rounds" that defaults to "No". Leave it that way when the time comes and next season things will remain as they are with the settings (you will still want to review them). If you were to change the lanes that your league uses, however, you will want to make sure they wind up as intended...in short, always review things.

Darell, you really should start a new topic thread with this question. I will answer it here, but inserting a comment like you did meant that your question didn't get picked up as needing an answer right away.

In BLS, you can access the manual in the Help menu, with or without a league open. It opens up in Acrobat Reader (this is one reason why Reader is a requirement for BLS installation).

In the manual, page 112 begins Lane Assignments and the directions are there.

Simply put, with your league open, under the "Setup" menu, choose "Lane Assignments". That will bring up your schedule. All league sessions, or "weeks", are set to "Normal" in the "Type of Week" column. For any week that needs to be a position round, just click on that week's "Normal" and a pop-up arrow appears; click that tiny arrow to the right, and the second item in the pop-up happens to be "Position Round".

Having a position round means that you will need to tell BLS what lane the round starts on. If you don't change anything, 1st will bowl 2nd on the first lane pair, 3rd will bowl 4th on the next pair to the right, and so on. But you can modify this under the "1st PR Lane" column which becomes accessible once a position round is set. One common option is to shift the start one pair to the right for each subsequent position round, so if a league starts on lanes 1-2, the first position round starts on 1, you could set the second one to start on 3, the next, on 5, and so on (you have to do them all manually).

The manual will contain quite a bit of other help. This .PDF is the same language that you would find in the paper manual, if you had ordered a physical installer DVD and manual.
